What We Do

Who are we?

Our gym is different from other gyms in San Diego. We offer something unique and valuable to people that they cannot get anywhere else. We can deliver a full-body efficient and effective workout in just 20-25 minutes twice a week. Our gym does this not by using traditional weightlifting or calisthenics, but by using ARX’s state-of-the-art, expensive computerized equipment.

Our equipment delivers the most effective and fastest method of building muscle strength in the shortest investment of time. That is our differentiating factor, a unique selling point or value proposition. It’s what makes us stand out from the crowd and be able to compete with LA Fitness and Chuze type gyms. People can get stronger in those gyms, but not as strong and as fast as they can become in our gym.

The ARX workout is suitable exercise for people of all ages and fitness levels, even those with injuries or recent surgeries. When used properly, only a very few other exercises may occasionally be combined to accommodate various people’s needs. But the ARX exercises are to be the core of their workouts, every session.

This is our identity. We need our marketing and our training to match this identity. Otherwise, we are promoting one thing to the public and then delivering something else. That will never grow a business or give the maximum benefit to our clients.

Why limit what we do?

We cannot try to be everything to everyone. We are not physical therapists. Please look at The Perfect Workout. They are THE most successful small gym in the country. They do one thing and they do it well. They don’t deviate or change their program to accommodate every client that comes in the door. If you can’t get what you need from their standard workout, you must find it somewhere else.

If someone comes into the jewelry store and says they are looking for a goldfish, we don’t start stocking goldfish. We send them to a fish store.

If people think they need physical therapy to resolve issues before they can safely use the ARX machines, they need to go to a physical therapist. That’s not what we do.

We don’t do traditional weightlifting. We don’t do lower body days and upper body days. (Although if you have clients that are doing that now and they want to keep it, keep it.) New people should be sold the thing we sell: The most efficient exercise you can do in 25 minutes, twice a week.

We don’t do battle ropes or deadlifts or elastic band workouts. People can get that kind of workout anywhere. That will not keep your clients for the long term. Even your personality will not keep your clients in the long term. If they can get your workout anywhere, they can be taken away at any time by a cheaper deal, a closer gym, a newer or “more fun” workout.

Your clients should be staying with you and signing up again and again because you are delivering what you promised and what they want – the strongest muscles built in the shortest amount of time invested. And that they cannot get anywhere else in San Diego.

Like The Perfect Workout, we deliver what we sell.

We must deliver our unique value proposition every time, which is to effectively and efficiently build muscle strength in just 20-25 minutes, twice a week.

The only way to deliver this is to do every exercise we can on ARX and do any others like Gluteator, leg extension, or leg curl, in the ARX style and abs in the Dr. Ben style. This means one set to temporary muscle failure w/ negatives on every rep.
