It is important that we always look and act professional for our clients. The client is paying us for a full 20 minutes of personal training. It’s imperative that we deliver that training for every minute they are here.
Before the client arrives:
- Pull the client’s file and put the workout chart on a clipboard
- Plan the client’s workout
- Set up all equipment that the client will use during the workout
- Set up the ARX machines
- Pull out any free weights needed
- Set up the Gluteator with correct weights
- Ensure the free weights are in place and ready for use
- Check that your breath is fresh
While the client is here:
- Do not eat or drink anything while the client is here, with the exception of water as needed.
- Stay with the client for the entire 20 minutes. Do not walk away even to your desk.
- Do not engage in conversation with other people.
- Ensure your attention is on the client and not gazing out the window.
- Constantly check for proper form and alignment.
- Do not take any phone calls or consult your cell phone.
- Do not have anything in your hands other than the clipboard from the client’s file and a pen.
When the client is finished with the workout:
- Immediately bring a cup of water for the client – don’t ask, just bring it.
- Ask the client how was her workout. Handle any complaints.
- Ensure the client is set up for his next workout.
- Walk the client to the door.
After the client leaves:
- Put away any equipment that was taken out.
- Disinfect the equipment and leave it prepared for the next client.
