Training Employees

Previously Titled “Do Not Train Employees on OT”

Some employees of Leo Hamel Fine Jewelers enjoy training at Leo’s Fitness Lab. These employees enjoy a special discount rate for training, but it is a rate at which the gym is losing money on the session. These employees should be scheduled during empty spots in the EZ Facility schedule. Employees may have fixed times at the gym, but the gym can sell their slots to a retail client at any time. If the gym trainer sees an earlier gap between 10:00 am and the employee’s session scheduled later in the day, the session may be moved earlier.

Because employees’ pricing is far below our actual cost, employees may be asked to come at 9:30 am (not earlier) to do their session, if their normal slot keeps the gym trainer waiting for them at the end of the day. Typically, though, the employee would be added to the end of the trainer’s day, or the following day, where there is an empty slot in the trainer’s schedule.

Under no circumstances should an employee of Leo Hamel Fine Jewelers be trained on a day when the trainer will be working overtime hours. The gym can’t afford to get a discount rate for training while paying the trainer time and a half. Discounted training at the gym is a bonus for employees and should not result in an expense to the gym.
